Backstory Enrichment Pipeline

Every procedurally generated fighter now runs through an enrichment pipeline that gives them actual history — where they came from, why they fight, what they’re running from. The backstories connect to their archetypes and traits, so a Psionic with the “Unstable” trait has a different story than a Sentinel with “Veteran.”

This feeds into the dossier system. Higher intel grades reveal more backstory. A D-grade dossier gives you stats and a silhouette. A-grade tells you their whole deal.

Archive Curation

New admin tools for managing the fighter archive: approved toggles for curating which fighters make it into pools, origin-physiology compatibility matrix to keep generation coherent, bulk operations, and real names alongside arena names. The pool is where fighters come from — it needs to be good.

Housekeeping

  • Arena name generation cleaned up (no more “The X” patterns)
  • Migration v6 was nested inside v5 and never ran — fixed, data patched
  • Portraits now visible in admin view
  • Pool size limits respected during generation
